2024 ‘Āina X Kai Foods Cook-off
To kick-off the 2024 Hāna Festivals of Aloha Week, the Hāna Farmers Market is proud to host the annual ‘Āina X Kai Food Cook-off on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:30 – 5 p.m. at the Hāna Farmers Market, in partnership with Kahanu Garden, Hāna Herbs & Flowers, Kīpahulu ‘Ohana, Captain Sam’s, and Mahele Farm.
This year, we’re thrilled to introduce Kalo as a new category in the cook-off, alongside ‘Ulu, Poke, Pohole, and Mai‘a. In addition to the competition, the farmers market will feature a variety of local vendor booths, live music, community organizations, and cultural activities. All proceeds will support the cook-off category winners.
Cook-off contestants and people’s choice judges must have a 2024 Festivals of Aloha ribbon to participate. Ribbons may be purchased for $5 CASH ONLY via the Hāna Farmers Market on Aloha Friday’s beginning on September 27 through October 25.
Support for the ‘Āina X Kai Foods Cook-off is provided by Hawai‘i Tourism Authority through the Community Enrichment Program.

- Each category has 24 People’s Choice judging spots available to community shoppers and event attendees.
Judging registration is first come, first serve, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and you must have a Festivals of Aloha Ribbon to participate – these will be for sale at the registration table and are $5 CASH ONLY.
Judging Cards can be purchased with a $5 CASH donation to the category of your choice.
