Ma Ka Hana Ka ‘Ike (MKHKI) is currently working on an East Maui Food Assessment project. The main project goals are to increase Hāna’s food security, support economic development in the agriculture and food sector, and improve the health of our local community. MKHKI recognizes the importance of reaching out to the community and gathering feedback, and a crucial part of this food assessment project is an ‘ohana survey.

This survey will help inform MKHKI on the real life factors surrounding ‘āina-based eating for keiki and ‘ohana here in our Hāna community. All information shared will be treated as confidential and only used for the purposes of this assessment.
